It is important to discover how our programmes function in widely differing contexts around the world, and to adapt them accordingly. Habib is Chairman of the Middle East International Consultants. Habib Badr was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1950 and is married to Wadi’a Jabara, they have one child, Eva Renée.
He has studied at the American University of Beirut (Philosophy), Yale University Divinity School, Princeton Theological Seminary and completed his Ph.D at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1992. From 1980-85 he was full-time lecturer in church history, at the Near East School of Theology, Beirut, Lebanon and also part-time pastor, National Evangelical Church of Beirut. From 1985 he has been full-time pastor at the National Evangelical Church of Beirut and Presiding Judge, Confessional Court of the Evangelical Community of Beirut. He is also a Member, Executive Committee, Middle East Council of Churches as well as being on the Executive Committee, Supreme Council of Evangelical Churches in Syria and Lebanon.
From 1995 Habib Badr has been on the Executive Committee of the Fellowship of the Middle East Evangelical Churches and Board member, SAT 7 International Board (Chair since 1997). His areas of interest and research are, American Protestant Missionary Activity in the Near East (esp. Lebanon and Syria). He is Co-editor: Christianity Through Its History In The East, 2001 (In Arabic) and has published many articles in journals on the general area of Protestantism in the Middle East.

| Dr. Fadi Daou, Beirut, Lebanon |

Dr. Daou, a joint French and Lebanese national, received his PhD in Theology from the Université Mar-Bloch, Strasbourg, France in 2002. He now a professor at the Université de Saint-Joseph in Beirut and, since 2005, the Director of the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences within the University. He has also taught at the nearby Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik and the Université La Sagesse.
Dr. Daou is the assistant parish priest at Mastita in the Maronite diocese of Jbeil. He is also responsible for vocational service in the diocese and is a member of the Diocesan presbyteral council. Other responsibilities include the position of Secretary-General of the Catholic Cultural Council for Lebanon (Conseil Culturel Catholique pour le Liban (CCCL)); a Member of the Episcopal, Theological and Biblical Committee in Lebanon (Commission Épiscopale Théologique et Biblique au Liban); and Member of the Maronite Patriarchal Synod.

The Rev. Halim Fa'eq Haddad, Zarka, Jordan
Fa'eq Haddad is Vicar of the Arab Episcopal Evangelical Church in Zarka in Jordan. He is the Secretary General of the Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East, and the Principal of the Saviour School in Zarka.
He is married, with four children.

The Rev. Serop Megerdichian, Aleppo, Syria
Serop is the President of the Middle East Region. Born in Kessab, Syria,in 1964. In February 1995, he graduated from the the Near East School of Theology of Beirut - Lebanon with a Master of Divinity degree. From March 1, 1995 - August 31, 1997, he has served The Armenian Protestant Church of Kessab-Lattakia. Since September 1, 1997 he is serving the Armenian Protestant Emmanuel Church of Aleppo. He was ordained in 1999 in Aleppo, Syria.
Serop is the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical (Protestant) Churches in the Near East. He is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Christian Endeavor Union of the Armenian Evangelical (Protestant) Churches in Syria.
He is married to Dr. Alina Minassian. They have two children George-Joseph and Wart-Wars.

Huda Nassar, Director for the Middle East, London, UK
Huda was born in Lattakia, Syria. She was awarded a B.Sc. by the University of Tishreen, Lattakia, before becoming Assitant Professor at their physics laboratory. She studied theology at Westminster College, Cambridge and gained an MA in Pastoral Theology at Birmingham University. She is currently completing an M.Phil in Pastoral Theology.
Huda was a youth leader in the National Evangelical Church (Presbyterian) in Lattakia. She organised many conferences for children, youth and their teachers. She lectured extensively in the UK and the Middle East.

Dr. George Sabra, Beirut, Lebanon
Dr. Sabra was born in Beirut, Lebanon. He had his Bachelor of Philosophy at the American University in Beirut. Then he obtained his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in the United States.
Dr. Sabra continued his exciting educational journey by securing his Master of Arts in Medieval Studies at the Pontifical Institute of Medieval Studies in Toronto University, Canada. Finally, he was awarded his Doctorate of Theology from the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Tübingen, Germany.
Dr. Sabra is now the Academic Dean and an Associate Professor in Systematic Theology at the Near East School of Theology. He is also a lecturer in Cultural Studies at the Lebanese American University, a Lecturer in the Faculty of Theology, University of the Holy Spirit, Kaslik, Lebanon and a Lecturer in Philosophy, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, American University of Beirut.
Dr. Sabra is the Editor of the Theological Review (a semi-annual journal of theology published by the NEST). He serves on the Faith and Unity Commission, Middle East Council of Churches and also the Oriental Orthodox Churches Dialogue Commission, World Alliance of Reformed Churches. Dr. Sabra is a well known theological writer in the Middle East.

Dr. Ketty Sarouphim, Beirut, Lebanon
Dr. Ketty M. Sarouphim is Associate Professor of Psychology and Education at the Lebanese American University. She graduated in 1997 with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Arizona, and a minor in the education of the gifted.
Her research interest focus on measuring intelligence through the use of non-traditional instruments, namely performance-based assessments. Dr. Sarouphim has many publications on the validity and reliability of DISCOVER, a performance-based assessment developed to identify gifted minority students. She has presented her work on several occasions in international and regional conferences. Her latest publication is on teachers' care for their students, with a focus on the importance of the affective component in education.

Mr. Nicola Tamer, Lattakia, Syria
Nicola Tamer was born in Lattakia in 1964 and is married to Jaclyn Haddad.
They have one child, Adib. Nicola studies Physics and Mathematics at Tishreen University in Lattakia.
He received a high award from the university for the excellent results of his research. He then studied computer science before he started teaching Physics at Tishreen University. Nicola is a gifted man. He is not only a scientist but also a successful businessman. He developed his passion for inventing children's toys and games into a successful business. He also has great passion for reading, photography, fishing, craft work (wood, origami and ropes) and theatre.
Nicola is deeply committed to his Orthodox tradition and is widely involved in the life of the church, not only in his city but in all the Middle East. He has an ecumenical, dynamic and creative mind which has made him a distinguished figure in the region.
